Registering a China Trademark from the US, UK or Australia

Registering a China trademark from the US, UK, Australia or Canada is a paperwork exercise: passport or incorporation certificate, your logo, and a signed power of attorney. Foreign applicants must file through a CNIPA-registered agency, which we provide through our partners.

Documents for individuals and companies

  • Passport scan (individuals) or certificate of incorporation (companies)
  • Brand name or high-resolution logo
  • Signed power of attorney using our template

No notarization or embassy legalization is needed. Translation is handled by the licensed agency.

The same timeline and fees apply

Foreign applicants pay the same official fees as Chinese applicants: 270 RMB per class (about $39), and the typical timeline is about 8 months. Your time zone does not change the process; all updates are sent to you in English.

Why you should not wait

China is first-to-file, and squatters monitor foreign brands precisely because overseas owners delay. If you plan to sell in China or protect against Chinese copycats, file before the problem appears. Our trademark service handles the whole process in English, and the contact page is the fastest way to start.
