Trademark renewal
China trademark renewal service
Last updated: October 23, 2026
A China trademark lasts ten years from registration and must be renewed to stay in force. Our $499 renewal service includes the CNIPA official fee and filing through a licensed Chinese agency.
Direct answer
When to renew a China trademark
CNIPA accepts renewal applications from 12 months before the expiry date. A six-month grace period is available after expiry, but relying on it creates unnecessary risk. Renewal keeps the same registration number and adds another ten-year term.

FAQ
Trademark renewal questions, answered
When can I renew a China trademark?
CNIPA accepts a renewal within 12 months before the expiry date. A six-month grace period follows expiry, with any applicable late charge.
How long does a renewal add?
Each successful renewal adds ten years to the registration. There is no limit on the number of renewals.
What happens if I miss the renewal deadline?
Once the grace period closes, the registration can be removed from the register. Rebuilding protection then requires a new application and may be blocked by another filing in the meantime.
Does the $499 price include the official fee?
Yes. The stated renewal price includes the CNIPA official renewal fee and the licensed-agency filing. If the official fee changes, we confirm the revised amount before filing.
What if my company name or address changed?
The register should be updated before or alongside renewal. A mismatch between the registered owner and the current legal documents can interrupt renewals, customs recordal and enforcement.
Can you renew several China trademarks together?
Send the full list with registration numbers and expiry dates. We can coordinate a portfolio renewal and confirm the per-filing price before instructions begin.
